Hemp

One of nature’s greatest gifts, hemp is currently experiencing a resurgence due to the changing political climate around cannabis. Though it’s often the victim of misconceptions, hemp is now being seen for what it is—an incredibly beneficial plant with a wide reach of practical applications to foster health in body and mind.

In the cannabis family, hemp differs from marijuana in that it contains extremely low concentrations of THC, and high concentrations of CBD. While THC is largely responsible for providing the psychoactive properties associated with marijuana, CBD has a host of positive qualities that make hemp a powerful asset for combating neurological and autoimmune disorders.

Another common misconception is that all CBD or hemp oils are created equal. On the contrary, many hemp oils are produced just from hempseed, or from seed and stalk. Our products are crafted from the whole hemp plant, producing not only a more potent, concentrated CBD-rich oil, but also harnessing the benefits of valuable terpenes and other often-overlooked components of the cannabis plant.

CBD

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a powerfully promising phytocannabinoid found in the hemp plant. It is recognized as beneficial to the human endocannabinoid system. This system and its receptors are found throughout the body; in each tissue the cannabinoids perform different tasks, but the goal is always the same: homeostasis. It’s beneficial to our health because it interacts with our endocannabinoid system (ECS) and is one of the most important physiologic systems involved in establishing and maintaining health. The result of these interactions is to help the body recover from oxidation and help us stay healthy.
